Three Federal Police agents murdered in Puebla

Rodolfo Igor Archundia Sierra, head of the Puebla State Attorney General’s Office (Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado —PGJE) confirmed the death of three Federal Police agents this morning on the Puebla-Orizaba highway after being attacked by a group of armed individuals. The attack occurred while the agents made a routine stop in order to search a tractor, when gunmen opened fire on them with AK-47 and R-15 rifles from two trucks. The agents were identified as Eusebio Morales Carmona, Juan Pablo Muñoz Domínguez, and Eduardo Muñoz Ortega. Sierra also detailed that the investigation into the murder of the three agents will be held at the federal level, and as of now the PGJE as a state authority is auxiliary.
