Murder by hanging in Guadalajara

At around 10:30pm local time in Guadalajara, a body was found hanging from an overpass above the road Chapala. Initially, investigators thought it was a suicide; but a further look into the case revealed it to be an execution.

Unconfirmed reports state that the man had been hung alive. He is thought to have been between the ages 35-40. The man was completely stripped of his clothes and had a message near his abdomen written in black marker which referred to Los Torcidos (The Crooked), an organized crime group that formed from members of Los Valencia (The Valence).

About five miles from the scene of the hanging was another murder in which a young man, identified as Roberto Ballardo Mariscal, was shot in the head while driving his truck.
