Members of the National Defense Commission of the PAN, PRI and PRD agreed that the Merida Plan is out of touch with the current reality facing Mexico and the U.S. and that it is time to devise a new strategy.
According to PAN legislature, Eduardo de la Torre Jaramillo, that the fact that the Merida plan failed early is a sigh it should disappear and include Canada in its new draft since the border is also threatened by drug trafficking.
