200 small-scale drug sites located in Cuauhtémoc

In conjunction with the capital police the demarcation chief (jefe de la demarcación), Agustín Torres, was able to recover at least eighteen public spaces. According to Torres, at least two hundred small-scale drug trading sites have been detected in the delegation of Cuauhtémoc, specifically in Morelos, Guerrero, Buenos Aires and Doctores. He said that the information has been given to the Federal Attorney General’s Office (Procuraduría General de la República) for further action.

The delegation chief said that they work within their means, which is the implementation of social programs and prevention programs since the selling of drugs is a federal crime. Torres also pointed out that organized crime entities have perfected their methods making it almost impossible to quantify the selling zones of drugs since some are mobile and others are in housing units.
