The Attorney General, Eduardo Medina-Mora said Thursday that violence in Juárez has been reduced by 70 percent with the strengthening of “Operativo Conjunto Chihuahua,” which went underway at the end of February.

He assured that with the deployment of 7 thousand Army and Federal Police, there have had significant results.

“These results mirror the deployment commitment that the federal government has with the juarenses to restore order and peace, to break the bonds of coexistence between the local police authorities and crime,” Medina Mora said in a release issued by the PGR.
