The Superior Auditor of Mexico says there is no way for dirty money to enter the government

08/26/10 – At the conclusion of his presentation for the seventh National Week of Transparency, the Superior Auditor of México, Juan Manuel Portal, stated that there is no way to launder money within the government. ”

Just today, Mexico’s president, Felipe Calderón, delivered an initiative to Mexico’s Congress that will no longer allow more than $100,000 pesos ($7,500 USD) to be used in cash when making purchases of cars, boats, planes and jewelery as well as placing bets.

Manuel Portal explained that because the money that runs the government is based on taxes, there is no way for dirty money to enter into the system.
