Mexican Navy seizes 20kg of explosives with the help of U.S. authorities

Today, the Mexican Navy seized 20kg of high explosives in Mexico City. With information from U.S. authorities, four men were also detained.

According to Mexican authorities, the information was exchanged between different agencies from the United States and Mexico. The information led to the arrest of Santos Cleofás Nolasco, Juan José Cabrera López, Cristian Bárcenas Camacho, and Mathew Roberts Assanza Espinoza. All four men are Mexican citizens and are believed to be a part of a large crime organization.

The explosives collected can be easily applied to cause large amounts of damage due to the malleable form in which they were found. Although it is unclear as to what the explosives were intended for, the amount seized is enough to cause devastating damage to buildings as they have enough power to bend heavy metal.
