The Mexican military seized an arsenal composed of 17 automatic rifles, 59 gun chambers, and 9,548 gun cartridges of various calibers, a hand grenade, and 11 sets of military style clothing. Also seized were three vehicles.
A spokesperson for the Culiacán-Navolato Joint Operation (Operativo Conjunto Culiacán-Navolato) reported that the seizure took place last night after military elements in the area of La Higuera de Culiacán told three vehicles to stop, when the group did not observe the request a pursuit initiated. The soldiers followed the suspects, who tried to flee by stopping two vehicles, however the suspects were captured.
