An undocumented Mexican immigrant was convicted today in Charlotte, North Carolina on charges of human trafficking. Jorge Flores Rojas will spend 24 years in prison for trafficking women and minors across the border to prostitute them. Rojas also raped and physically abused one of the women, as well as paying a ‘coyote’ to get the women across the border. The testimonies of the women were pivotal in convicting Rojas, who will be extradited back to Mexico when his sentence is completed.
