Justice in Mexico provides Continuing Legal Education lecture in Tennessee.

dju_20120124_Shirk_229On Wednesday, October 29, 2014, Justice in Mexico’s Director David Shirk provided a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) lecture on the “Drug War and Judicial Reform in Mexico” to the Office of the Attorney General for the state of Tennessee, as well as the Center for Latin American Studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

The purpose of the lecture was to brief prosecutors and staff from the Office of the Attorney General on Mexico’s current security situation and efforts to strengthen judicial sector institutions, drawing on recent policy research by Justice in Mexico.

This was one of several lectures and briefings that Justice in Mexico gives to authorities and academic institutions from different countries, such as the U.S. Congress, the Embassy of the U.S., Canada and Australia in Mexico City, among many others.
