On October 28, Justice in Mexico’s Coordinator participated at a workshop regarding security initiatives in different Mexican cities. The workshop gathered researches and experts from different institutions, such as the Instituto para la Seguridad y la Democracia (INSYDE), Mexico Center at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, the University of Texas Austin, University of Texas Brownsville, Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE), Colectivo de Análisis de la Seguridad con Democracia (CASEDE), among many others.
The event took place in the EGADE campus of the Technological Institute of Monterrey (ITESM) in the Metropolitan Zone of Monterrey, and was sponsored by Banco para el Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF) and the Woodrow Wilson Center from Washington.
At the event Justice in Mexico shared some of the experiences and insights from its recent qualitative and quantitative research of the Municipal police of Tijuana.
