08/24/10 – The Technical Secretariat of the Coordinating Council for the Implementation of the Criminal Justice System (Secretaría Técnica del Consejo de Coordinación para la Implementación del Sistema de Justicia Penal –SETEC), visited the Law and Social Science Department of the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas) in order to asses the advances the school has made in regards to the criminal justice reforms.

According to the SETEC webpage, the SETEC is the government agency under the Interior Ministry (Secretaría de Gobernación – SEGOB) that is responsible for coordinating actions taken at the three levels of government in regards to the implantation of the constitutional reforms that look to transform the criminal justice system into an adversarial court system.
