Cousin of the elected governor of Chihuahua is murdered

The cousin of the governor-elect of Chihuahua, César Duarte Jáquez, was murdered Tuesday morning. Unknown men gunned down attorney Alberto Porras Duarte as he entered his office in Hidalgo del Parral. The gunmen shot from vehicles and fled the scene before police authorities were able to arrive. One of his brothers drove him to the nearest hospital but died before arriving.

This is the second execution in the family of the elected governer César Jáquez. Just two weeks ago his nephew, Mario Humberto Medina, was killed during an attempted kidnapping.
