Corruption in Monterrey has cost the state treasury 4 billion pesos, an amount that could be recollected if it canceled payments and ‘moches’ that the top officials demand, PRI candidate Abel Guerra Garza said. He noted that corruption is so high because the municipality allows it to happen, and it is something that can be stopped. The state treasury is not the only area being affected; the private sector saw a depression due to other businesses emerging because of the corruption.
