Armed men entered a mortuary and execute the owner and four others

08/11/10 – A group of armed men entered the mortuary known as Funeraria Satélite and killed five people, including an agent of the Attorney General of the State. The mortuary, located in the municipality of Satélite in Ciudad Juárez, had previously reported of attempts at extortion by crime groups.

The names of three of the victims have been released; they are the owner of the store, Nicolás Quintana, and his two sons Ramón Alejandro and Iván Quintana Gutiérrez. The other two victims are an employee of the business and an agent of the Attorney General of the State. Investigators stated that all five of the men were forced to stand in a horizontal line facing away from the wall, the killers then shot over a hundred rounds, killing all of the five victims before fleeing.
