A chief prosecutor for the Attorney General’s Office in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, murdered

11/30/10 – The chief prosecutor of the Preliminary Investigations Department for the State Attorney General’s office (Averiguaciones Previas de la Procuraduría de Justicia del Estado), Dolores Guadalupe Guzmán Ramírez, was murdered while driving toward her office in the administrative unit of the Attorney General’s Office.

She was driving a gray Ram truck when two individuals on a yellow sports motorcycle shot her to death at the intersection of Ejército Mexicano and Los Deportes. Authorities and medics arrived at the scene shortly after 18:40 hours when the gunfire had been reported, but Ramírez was already dead. Ramírez had been serving as the head of the agency’s auto theft department, as well as the head of the homicide department.
