A 16 year old Mormon boy, Eric LeBarón, was kidnapped by an armed group last Saturday. A ransom was demanded for the boy. The Mormon community in Chihuahua went to the state capital to speak with Governor, José Reyes Baeza, demanding he take responsibilityand do something to halt the kidnappings that are plaguing in the area. The Mormon community is located in the city of Galeana and has about 2,000 members. Their city, along with Nuevo Casas Grandes, Ignacio Zaragoza y Buenaventura, have been continuously targeted by organized crime.
